Michael Earle - from international architect to...erm...local paperboy?

We were contacted a few days ago by one of our well-wishers in Thailand. Amongst the content of their email was the following :

"Something interesting to note: An ex-Modern Zen staff member saw Michael Earle delivering magazines in Patong Beach. International, ex-Professor of Architecture, reduced to magazine delivery boy."

We find this quite amusing.

Of course, the bit about ex-professor of Architecture is incorrect - it's one of Binky's Walter Mitty fantasies; we contacted the Boston Register of Architects a year or so ago and they'd never heard of him.

But we suspect that Binky and Sidekick Trish are now desperately hanging onto the notion of making some money out of Modern Design Magazine as they're finding it incresingly difficult to dupe people over the whole architect thing.

Don't forget folks, Modern Design Magazine was written, designed, produced and marketed by members of this blog who are all OWED AT LEAST 3 MONTHS OF WAGES, EMBEZZLED BY MICHAEL EARLE ARCHITECT

The thought of Binky and sidekick running round the beach dumping off bundles of their re-hashed magazine does put a wee smile on our faces. If Michael Earle Architect were a successful businessman of any standing whatsoever he would, of course, employ low-income driver to deliver his magazine. He did this in Spain - they didn't get paid, that goes without saying - so we presume times are tough in Thailand for Binky to stoop so low.

If anyone can take a quick snapshot of Binky running round with a bundle under his arm please send it to us. We will reward you with whatever the Baht equivalent is of €100. We're hoping to start a "Binky Gallery" and such a photo would make a fantastic first exhibition.

This has really made my day, might I even say that the value of this is getting up toward the three grand Michael Earle owes me... you still owe me it though you sicko!

I used to split a thursday night paper round with a mate as it was local supplement night. Halving the burdon of those heavy local rags on my shoulder was a really smart move, but sharing the fiver was really hard to swallow - still I did it, coz my mate helped me out week in, week out - and he deserved the 2 quid fiddy for his effort as much as I did.

Maybe a lesson there for the Earle's, who I hope are are enjoying splitting the sack - so to speak - and I guess with the pittance of income generated from traipsing around Phuket, there'll be no more fancy holidays for a while - nor trips to Wimbledon while the admin staff back home eat bloody microwaved rice for lunch..

You nasty, nasty pair of rip off merchants.

  4. 3 grand to you Dave, 5 grand to others and so on and so forth.

If you look through the pages of the Boletin Oficial de la Provincia de Malaga you'll find guilty verdicts for as much as €46,230 to an individual, €130,664 to a group of 3 suppliers and up to €117,775 in one single Social Security fraud.

It all adds up to over €1m owed by Michael Earle to employees, suppliers, the authorities...once you add the embezzled investments we know of we seriously calculate around €5m owed in total.

    It all mounts up.

  5. I was one of the lucky ones - he only owes me €3,200

That's about 0.5% of the total he owes in embezzled salaries that you can see in the official documents at www.bopmalaga.org

I've seen over €600,000 in guilty verdicts with my own eyes

  7. hahaha!!!!! I saw this on the Modern Design Magazine website :

"Our distribution is above and beyond any other publication in Phuket and is done in house to assure each magazine reaches our target readership and our advertiser’s target demographic."

Perhaps this is just Binky's care and dedication to his advertisers shining through...?

  8. Dear oh dear oh dear - I also just read:

"We also register an average of 5000 worldwide downloads per month of our online magazine version"

    Err...there isn't a downloadable online version?!?!?!

That's a laughable lie, even for Michael Earle Architect and sidekick Trish!
